Paralyzed former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand smiles as he answers a question during an NFL football news conference in Piscataway, N.J. last week after it was announced that he has been signed by the Tampa Bay. LeGrand broke two vertebrae and suffered a serious spinal cord injury on Oct. 16, 2010, during a kickoff return against Army. His coach at Rutgers then, Greg Schiano, is now the head coach of the Buccaneers. (AP Photo/Mel Evans)

R.I.P. Tiaina Baul “Junior” Seau (1969 - 2012)

This is just sad. Seau is without a doubt one of the greats that have ever put on a helmet. Not only an icon in San Diego, but a legend around the league. For those who witnessed his ferocity all throughout his career, from USC to New England, you know what a loss this is.

This is just the worst.

SI VAULT: Seau leads a new wave of NFL linebackers (9.6.93)

This is crazy. R.I.P Junior Seau! He was such an outstanding Linebacker…damn…

SAINTS ARE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton jokes around prior to a Sept. 2011 game against the Cardinals. Newton, the No. 1 overall pick last year, led the Panthers to a 6-10 record in his first season. Carolina should be improved next season with the addition of wide receiver Joe Adams and cornerback Josh Norman, who were both drafted over the weekend. SI’s Chris Burke gave the Panthers a grade of A- for their draft. Find out the grades for every team below. (John W. McDonough/SI)

LOL Derek Anderson looks so annoyed

Finally after waiting soooo long, The Oakland Raiders select Tony Bergstrom Offensive Guard from Utah! Always good to beef up that line. He kinda looks like a Raider already. Welcome to Oakland!

It’s a somber day. One of the greats, Weapon X, is calling it a career after 16 exciting years.
Did Brian Dawkins play a Hall of Fame worthy career? I don’t know but I look forward to reading the debates.
This is what I do know. Brian Dawkins terrorized the NFC East (AFC West too). He hit hard and is in the running for most popular player in Eagles history. Above all else Brian Dawkins is smart. He played smart and is smart enough to walk away while he still can, he suffered a serious neck injury that forced him to miss the end of last season. It’s just a shame we didn’t get to see him play with Peyton Manning.
Thanks for the memories, Mr. Dawkins.
@nhall

Hall of Famer in my book. Ima miss him. The only good thing is that the Raiders dont have to play him twice a year anymore lol

Here’s a look at all the gloves for each team in the league.

The Browns are pretty funny.

lahistory:

March 21, 1946: UCLA’s Kenny Washington signed with the Los Angeles Rams, making him first African American in the NFL since 1933. In 2011, Los Angeles Times’ Bill Plaschke wrote, “Washington broke his sport’s color barrier a year before his former UCLA football teammate Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier, yet pro football never retired Washington’s No. 13, and his Los Angeles hometown has yet to put his name on any parks or fields.” The NFL recently produced a short clip recognizing contributions of Kenny Washington (also a Lincoln High School alum) to the game.  [Photo from the Los Angeles Public Library archive].

I officially Hate Peyton Manning now.

-At least he isnt on the 49ers i guess….

QB Matt Flynn has signed with the Seattle Seahawks for 3 years/$26 Million. $10 Mill of which is guaranteed. Though Flynn is somewhat unproven, he was highly sought after by a few clubs, including the Miami Dolphins, who now have missed on on him & Peyton.

Flynn will battle for the starting gig against vet Tavaris Jackson.

nfloffseason:

You are now looking at the highest paid player in the National Football League.

8 years. $132 Million. ($60 Mill Guaranteed)

Megatron indeed.
